Selection and Induction
POLLARD INSTITUTE supports equal opportunity in the selection of employees, clients, and students and ensures that people are not discriminated against on the basis of sex, pregnancy, race, beliefs, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, homosexuality or age. This means that all employees and clients are entitled to equal consideration and respect in their dealings with us.
Trainers and Assessors have a responsibility to ensure Access and Equity principles are upheld in the delivery and assessment of training programs. We will assess learners training needs, and any extra services required, prior to enrolment. Prior experience and the best methods of delivery will be evaluated. The relevant level mode of delivery, the course and the relevant level of support will be included in any training and assessment strategy.
The Process:
If you think you might like to undertake a course of study at POLLARD INSTITUTE, you should contact Client Services on
(03) 9948 9447 and request a Student Information Pack including the course information sheet for the course you are interested in and the schedule of fees and charges.
Once you have familiarised yourself with this Information pack and, if you decide that this is the course for you, contact Client Services on (03) 9948 9447 and request an enrolment form.
You will be sent an Enrolment Form which you should complete and return by mail. Once your form has been processed you will be contacted by Client Services who will advise you if your application has been successful and, if so, arrange a suitable time for your intake and orientation session.
Upon receipt of your enrolment fee, Client Services will send you your enrolment pack which includes a letter confirming enrolment and either class timetables for students attending workshops, or, learner’s guides; assessment materials; and resources for students completing their course by flexible delivery.
Induction:
When you commence your course at the Institute your trainer will ensure that you receive orientation and induction into the course. During your intake and orientation session your trainer will ensure that you are briefed on all aspects of the course and our facilities and the learning and support resources available to you.
