Student's Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour for participants in training courses conducted by or on behalf of POLLARD INSTITUTE.

Participants enrolled in a course with The Institute are expected to:

  • Treat staff members and other participants in the class with fairness and respect at all times.

  • Treat with respect the differing values, attitudes, experiences and opinions of participants.

  • Be on time for classes

  • Respect confidentiality agreements developed as part of training programs.

  • Cooperate with staff members and contractors of The Institute and respond to directions by staff members to maintain a health and safe work environment.

  • Participate in all activities in an honest, responsible and ethical manner.

  • Participate positively in the course by completing any class activities, offering opinions, asking questions, completing assigned tasks, assisting other participants and answering questions.

  • Complete assignments and associated tasks honestly and with integrity and submit them on time. All materials submitted for assessment will be the participant’s own work.

  • Raise issues of personal concern with the appropriate person and in appropriate manner.

  • Use equipment and property of The Institute in an ethical and careful manner.

  • Return borrowed resources on time.

  • Pay all fees levied by The Institute for attendance in courses in which the participant is enrolled.

  • Respect that The Institute is a non smoking workplace and not smoke at the training venue.

Participants who do not adhere to these expectations will be counselled by the trainer and should the behaviour continue the participant may be excluded from the class or the Institute at the discretion of the Chief Executive Office.
